About SbJL

Hello! Welcome to Stitched by JessaLu – Thank you so much for visiting my shop!   I have so much to tell you, this page keeps growing and growing!

If you’re looking for a certain print, try searching for the theme name – like ‘Whovian’ or ‘Austen’. You might be surprised at what pops up!

When the shop is open, if a print shows ‘sold out’ then it’s sold out (I’m sorry!) and I’m either waiting for the reorder to arrive to restock or I need to do inventory to restock.

When the shop is open, I do small updates almost daily. I do large shop updates with the SciFi prints about every 2 weeks.

If you want a heads up on larger shop updates, please sign up for the mailing list (link in sidebar), ‘like’ my page on Facebook and/or follow me on Twitter! You can also follow me on Instagram if you’d like to see my other crafty pursuits and some fabric sneak peeks. :o)

A big THANK YOU to everyone for your patience! Much appreciated! I am only a one-woman business and I can only do so much – I’d say that someday I’ll have more help but then my bags wouldn’t be ‘Stitched by JessaLu’ anymore ;o)

****************************************************************************

I recently began offering Jane Austen themed bags which were featured in the Dry Goods section of the Fall 2012 edition of Jane Austen Knits by Interweave Press – I have a screenshot up in my Ravelry group (and while you’re there, why not join the group?)

SbJL is home of the ORIGINAL bucket bag! Often imitated but never duplicated. ;o)

You can read a tutorial on the original usage of this bag here – they’ve since morphed into a knitting bag as well as spinning!

If there is a specific print you are looking for, please contact me! If you see a print in the shop that you’d like in a bucket, spindle, or large bag, let me know and I’ll see what I can do! Thank you!

****************************************************************************

All hand-sewn items are made by me (yes, I am a one-woman operation – unless I can wrangle my husband into ironing or cutting interfacing) on a c1937 Model 15-91 Singer sewing machine in a smoke-less and cat-less home (but not dog-less, though she’s little and isn’t allowed in the sewing room).

You can see pictures of my sewing machine here. My machine isn’t fancy, it doesn’t have the ability to do a lockstitch edge but she’s a workhorse and I love her. She does the job while my fancy new Singer sits in the closet, not working.

I am MORE THAN HAPPY to do custom orders!  If you see two fabrics on two different bags in the shop that you think will make a lovely bag for yourself or if you have a general color/print idea kicking around and would like to design your own SbJL bag please don’t hesitate to contact me! (please note that custom requests are for fabric only – I cannot take requests for custom bag designs at this time and if I do not have the fabric in stock this will add significantly to the delivery estimate)

**All bags are machine washable!!**

**ALL READY TO SHIP BAGS ARE IN THE ‘READY TO SHIP’ SECTION OF THE SHOP ONLY**  Anything ordered from that section will go out next business day.

If you have a question about shipping times, please check my shop policies.  Thank you!

You can read about my knitting, spinning and sewing at my blog:  http://www.jessaluknits.com

I’m also on Twitter as StitchedbyJessa (and Ravelry, as JessaLu too!).  I post shop updates to Twitter so if you follow me you’ll get a heads up with a shop announcement!

I also have a mailing list for shop announcements: http://eepurl.com/bLAaz

**NEW!**  There is now a FaceBook fan page for SbJL!  You can find it here:
